| Thi was born in Vietnam, but fled to America as a refugee in 1975. Her family settled in the Carolinas, and as a result, her culinary influences range from selling vegetables in her village market with her mother to being taught by Baptist church ladies at Southern potlucks. The delicious food that Thi loves to serve has the heart and soul of Vietnam and the warm hospitality of South Carolina. In 2007, she was recognized with Rock Hill's "Come See Me" Merit/Service award for providing over 5000 meals to charity. She enjoys cooking, gardening, and sweet iced tea.
